This Weekend...

Michael will at school from 12-5 on Saturday and 12-6 on Sunday working in the office. If anyone needs helps, just come knockin'. Post here if you need a specific meeting time.

Tuesday & Thursday Events

Lots' goin' this week class.

Everyone should go to the AIGA poster reception (Garrett & I will be going too) and we will all be going to see Venesky together. We've extended the wireframe date as well (see edited post below). See you at the event and at the start of class Thursday.

Achtung, Baby: Delivery Date Alteration

So, for next Thursday (the 23rd) Tuesday (the 28th) please have a functional skeleton of how your interface will be working, in the medium you'll be building it in. Build it in crude boxes, if you'd like. In other words.... an interactive wireframe. If things slide, make it happen. If things enlarge when clicked on, make it happen. If you navigate by smelling your screen, make it happen. Post your skeletons here.

CSS Demo Floaty Floater Assignment

Using Thursday's demo and files as a guide, build an HTML page with a container (DIV ID) holding 1-column, 2-column, and 3-column containers (DIV CLASS). The border around the containers is 30 pixels and the divs should have the dimensions indicated in the image below. I'll let you figure out the outer container size.

Upload the solution to your site and post the link here before Tuesday's class.
Don't forget to upload the CSS file as well.

Progress for Tuesday

So, Tuesday will be a work day. But, you need to come to class with the following things:

Two contemporary branding directions. Michael and I saw a lot of washed up typefaces today. You guys are the new school here, with new technology! Experiment with new typefaces! No Gill, Futura, Myriad, Helvetica, Hobo, etc. simple.

Each person should design a minimum of 4 pages (2 branding directions each) = 8 pages.
In other words, there will be 8 pages per interface.

It's likely that the person designing the object's interface will have less content to flush out.
Thus, the person responsible for the object should begin exploring/rendering in Google Sketchup.
